The Short Answer
Most companies price wedding editing per photo or per wedding. In advertised prices we looked at in October 2026, color correction ranged from roughly $0.15 to $0.50 per photo, and whole-wedding packages for about 700 photos from roughly $100 to $200. So a wedding of 700 images often costs somewhere between $100 and $350 to color correct.
These are published starting prices from a small sample of companies, not an industry survey. They change often, so always get a current quote.
Typical Advertised Prices by Service
| Service | Usually priced | Advertised prices we saw |
|---|---|---|
| Color correction | Per photo or per wedding | About $0.15–$0.50 per photo |
| Culling | Per photo or included in a package | From about $0.05 per photo for AI software. Hand culling costs more. |
| Retouching | Per image, by difficulty | About $10–$100+ per image |
| Album design | Per album or per spread | About $100 per album from some labs and services |
What Changes the Price
- Hand editing or software. AI tools are usually cheapest per photo. Hand editing costs more because a person views and adjusts every image.
- Number of images. A per-wedding price is often good value for large galleries, but check the image limit and what extra images cost.
- Difficulty. Skin cleanup is quick. Adding a couple to a family photo, or removing someone standing in front of the bride, takes far longer.
- Turnaround. Rush jobs can cost more, and some companies take longer in wedding season.
- Revisions. Find out whether changes are included or charged separately. This matters most for albums, where clients often ask for several rounds.
Work Out Your Real Cost
Don't compare price alone. Compare it with what your own time is worth.
- Time how long you spend culling and editing one wedding.
- Decide what an hour of your time is worth, whether that's shooting, selling or being with your family.
- Multiply the two, then compare the result with a quote.
For example, if one wedding takes you 12 hours, and you value your time at $40 an hour, that's $480 of your time. A $250 editing bill would save you $230 and give you those 12 hours back. Use your own numbers, because the answer is different for every studio.
Watch for Hidden Costs
- Re-editing. If you fix every gallery yourself after it comes back, a low price stops being low.
- Inconsistent editors. A different editor each time can mean more corrections. Ask if you'll have a dedicated editor.
- Extras. Check whether culling, skin retouching and revisions are included.
